Year-end Thoughts on Health and Fitness – 2023

The publisher of “Fight Aging” just put up his usual end-of-year summary of the progress made in the
longevity industry for 2023.Structurally, it is a litany of what goes wrong with our body parts, organs,
systems, etc. and how they degenerate or fail with age, and what, if anything, can be done to delay,
prevent or repair such damage. The article is a bit tough to understand because he has forgone the
practice of explaining what various acronyms or labels are given to various enzymes or genes or
proteins, and just expects us to understand the jargon.

The primary commonality to all these aging conditions/mechanisms discussed is the accumulation of
senescent (meaning Old) cells with aging, and the evidence that these conditions improve if senescent
cells are killed and eliminated from the body. Realistically, those cells are broken down and recyclable
parts/materials are reused when functional, and the rest eliminated by the usual pathways.

In every kind of tissue, from bones to brains, cells that reach the end of their life cycle, stop multiplying,
change character and secrete a bouquet of signaling chemicals called SASP, which breaks down
surrounding tissues and coaxes surrounding cells to become likewise senescent. Pick a pathway to death
from the great, long list of ways to fall apart and you will run into cellular senescence along the way.

That reaffirms to me that if we want to stay functional enough to work toward building or serving the
Kingdom of God, we should take advantage of available Senolytic (means Kills Old Cells) Therapies NOW.
The one I use comes from Life Extension, (my affiliate link) and I get it wholesale and supply it to clients & friends.
It is a cheap tool for staying healthy longer. I can show you how to use it for best advantage.

The most productive strategy for staying healthy is Movement; THE most beneficial movement strategy
for those over 40 is Resistance Training. I have benefited from this activity for the last 51 years without
any significant lapse from the gym; I love it, I teach it. I work part time as a trainer, specializing in
Resistance/Weight Training for optimal senior fitness and health-span. I teach a basic workout strategy,
using machines typically found in any gym so it can be used anywhere you find a gym in the future. This
workout grows strength, condition and size of virtually every muscle in the body, while improving
function of brain and body as a whole; everything gets easier. Learn it from me; use it for life, never quit.

Lastly, energy production declines with age; easy stuff gets harder or impossible as energy drops. At
some point we need naps to make it through the day. A supplement called NMN raises energy
production to youthful levels. This is not one where you have to wonder if it is working. Two weeks after
starting it I realized I hadn’t taken a nap in in a week; didn’t feel the need, hadn’t thought about it. Four
years later I never need a nap at 84. The best product I’ve found is from Renue By Science, uses
liposomal technology for near-total assimilation and I have a discount code for my clients/readers — FRANK10 for
a 10% discount at checkout. I know this sounds pretty self-promotional, but my aim is that my readers
could share in the amazing benefits gained from current research and these practical strategies.
