Three years ago, a woman at the gym where I train seniors about Strength Training started conversing with me. I noticed she had a head tremor, amplified under exertion. I quickly researched tremors and thought it might be Essential Tremor but found no practical advice for her.
Years later she convinced her husband to work with me, and we are about 6 months into that effort. Three months ago, she joined him, and I noticed the tremor was noticeable and more pronounced. A month later she disclosed that she had just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s by her Neurologist.
I had just read Joseph, D. (2025). “The Unified Theory of Neurodegeneration Pathogenesis Based on Axon Deamidation”, followed by older papers on earlier ideas related to NAD+ depletion in neurons, and thought they might be related mechanisms. I also read some testimonials of improvements of neuro-issues from users of NAD+ boosters. I suggested she try RenueByScience’s NAD Complete and their Nasal Spray version. She bought both, starting with the capsules, and one month ago, started the Nasal Spray.
I have been monitoring the tremor, thinking it was improving – yesterday it was no longer detectable. She has been on low dose levodopa for 2 years with no impact to speak of. What to make of that, I can only guess?
