Mind over Matter (body) - The Path to Wealth

The very first lesson in The Master Key System calls for you to turn your mind onto your body, to pursue consciously aware control of its use.

In searching the classic literature and organized teachings on the development of mental concentration of attention, you'll find the most common approach, fundamentally, is an initial getting of control over your own physical body.

In 1918, Theron Q. Dumont (pseudonym of William Atkinson, a prolific writer of the age), wrote in his book, The Power Of Concentration:

When the controlling faculties (autonomic) are in an untrained condition, the impulses, passions, emotions, thoughts, actions and habits of the person suffer from lack of regulation, and the procedure of mental concentration is not good, not because the mind is necessarily weak in the autonomic department of the faculties, but because the mind is not properly trained.

When the self-regulating faculties are not developed the impulses, appetites, emotions and passions have full swing to do as they please and the mind becomes impulsive, restless, emotional and irregular in its action. This is what makes mental concentration poor.

When the self-guiding faculties are weak in development, the person always lacks the power of mental concentration. Therefore you cannot learn to concentrate until you develop those very powers that qualify you to be able to concentrate.

An initial practice of using the body for the training of your own mind exposes the workings of impulses, passions, emotions, and thoughts, the patterns and machinations of which greatly affect the way you move and the manner in which you carry yourself. This visceral acquisition of this fundamental knowledge sets the stage for the next level, wherein you shall begin to deepen your perception in order to get a closer look at the unseen forces at play in your mind and body, a 'higher perception' so vital for you because those forces are reliable signals that reveal why your life is precisely the way it appears; and THAT is the precursor to understanding what you require to affect change.

By this approach, the seeker of Truth begins to know the meaning and the importance of the concept, "MIND OVER MATTER."
