Hair Removal

Over centuries many Laser Hair removal techniques, including waxing, sugaring, threading, plucking, shaving etc, have been developed to deal with this problem. All of these solutions are short term solutions and many bring with them a range of other problems such as in growing hairs, spots and rashes to name but a few.

IPL and laser hair removal works by a process of rapid heating of the hair follicle which destroys the hair shaft and the stem cells therein. Normal hair grows in three distinct phases:

• Anagen—the active growth phase • Catagen—where growth is finished but the hair continues to be nourished • Telogen—when the hair detaches from the papilla and falls out

IPL and Laser hair removal can only be effective during the anagen phase of hair growth. Because of this, repeated treatments are necessary to clear all hair growth.

BOTOX

Botox can simply, safely and effectively improve frown lines, forehead creases and crows feet. The procedure can have remarkable results in improving the wrinkles resulting from hyperactive facial muscles. Botox is such a convenient, controlled and affordable procedure. It can be carried out in a lunch hour and requires no anaesthetic or recovery time. Many patients pop in for a treatment before special occasions! A Botox Treatment should normally last for about six months and can be repeated when necessary. Most patients find they require less frequent follow-up sessions over time, as their immobilised muscles ‘retrain’ and weaken from disuse – thus becoming unable to create or reinforce frown lines.

Precise, Expert, Surgical Treatment Tiny amounts of Botox are expertly injected with a very fine needle – to painlessly freeze the facial muscles that cause lines. After the injection, the muscles will relax and the skin will smooth out over a few days. The result is a safer, more relaxed and pleasing appearance.

Botox treatments are often accompanied with the use of Restylane or Dermal ‘fillers’, which will ‘plump up’ the lines between the inactive muscles. Botox can also be very effective in enhancing the results of the N-Lite laser treatment for natural collagen production – and may be used with glycolic peels. Our expert practitioners will be able to give you complete guidance in all such combination procedures.

Our expertise in today’s modern surgery techniques, combined with our continual investment in the latest state of the art equipment, allows every suitable procedure to be completed on a convenient day-surgery basis.

Should you require any type of surgery, you will find the London Day Surgery Centre to be at the forefront of expertise, with leading knowledge and experience of day surgery. We offer the finest recuperative facilities and, most importantly, attentive care to patient needs and expectations.
