Why do you need RO Systems? Water is the basic need of all life forms. But human beings require clean, uncontaminated water for a healthy life. Water has a tendency to be contaminated by the microorganisms. However, they are not the only threats present in drinking water. Changed acidity, basicity, metal ion concentration, salt concentration, etc. are many other aspects, which can cause great harm. The RO system neutralizes all these potentially lethal components and removes the risk factor associated with water.

Most of the people, who gloss over this topic of concern and drink tap water, are ignorant of the fact that the community treatment plants are often ineffective in removing all contaminants. The effect of some chemical contaminants is visible only when they have piled up in your body to lethal limits, making the harm caused by them irreversible.

RO system is classified on the basis of the number of filters used in three types:

3 Stage RO Unit: Here, there are three basic stages of purification due to the presence of three different filters one after another. For example, one Osmotic 3 stage RO filter contains the In-line sediment and In-line carbon pre-filters along with the main RO membrane.

4 Stage RO Unit: The 4 stage RO Equipment contains four filters; an Osmotics 4 Stage filter contains three additional filters i.e. a sediment pre-filter, a carbon block pre-filter and a de-ionization post filter-pod along with the main membrane filter.

6 Stage RO Unit: An Osmotics six-stage RO system contains six filters in total. One is the main Reverse Osmotic Membrane, whereas the others are—sediment pre-filter, a carbon block pre-filter, a granulated active carbon pre-filter, a deionization post-filter pod and a Carbon post-filter pod. This is the most efficient system of all the three and can remove 99% of the impurities present in the water.

The Reverse Osmosis systems can be used to purify drinking water, obtain non-staining water for car washing, water for aquariums, and for food preparation, etc.

First Stop Aquatics offers a wide variety of RO systems along with RO system accessories and parts. Many other products available on the site such as Ozone generators, Protein skimmers, Reef additives, Aquarium chiller, Osmolator Auto Top up & calcium reactors, Pumps & Power heads, Specific gravity meter, Eheim tubing and Thermometers.
