How much money would you invest in your health now to get back what you lost by lack of balanced priorities?
It becomes a simple answer: “Everything we have.”
Seek to develop a moderate and balanced life style
We have been conditioned to get out of balance with the over emphasis of our careers and the drive to make money as the most important thing in our lives. Think about it.
From what you have read so far, I now want you to consider how important your attitude and choices affect you, your children and spouse.
Make a commitment to yourself, as I did years ago, to become fit and stay healthy as long as it is possible. It‘s a wise choice that none of us will ever regret.
Many of us are drowning financially, we are way over our heads in bills and debt. It is at times like this that a good financial planner can be a life saver. Once we realize this, the quicker we can solve the problem, the better. In our present culture, the normal demands of life put most of us in a stressed out position even when we are financially solvent.
Many of us are drowning physically because of our poor eating habits, over indulgence of beer, wine, alcohol, and a stressed out, overworked life. We need to be educated, motivated and committed to change. It’s times like this that a doctor, personal trainer, and a nutritionist can be a lifesaver.
Living the high life may look good on the outside but eventually it will catch up to all of us. Too many of us are physically destroying our bodies, taking years off our life span because of excessive, undisciplined lifestyles with no physical activities.
It’s well proven, that exercise, a moderate lifestyle and a healthy diet are like a lifeline to a drowning person. We have to grab the line to keep from drowning from our excessive, out of balance bad habits and careless living.
When we are burdened down with bills, it will affect our living status…When we are excessively over weight, it affects our whole life status and can be the beginning of serious health problems. Being seriously overweight can shorten your life span. No matter how smart you are, a great mind cannot operate out of a dead body.
Broke But Not Physically Broken…
There are times when you have no available cash. When you have no immediate means to get cash, you could say that you are cash poor, financially speaking.
If you have made investments, such as property, stocks and bonds, jewelry, classic cars, you are obviously not bankrupt. When you are walking around out of shape, overweight and thinking just because you can still move, you are just fine-don’t fool yourself. Anyone in this condition is broke, physically speaking. Not bankrupt yet, but physically broke.
You can fix the problem by making good deposits into your health savings accounts by eating sensibly and exercise-your body. Start watching what and how much you eat and how you invest your time. This is how to start remedying the problem of being physically poor.
You’ve heard the term cash poor, well, I’ve been cash poor a few times in my life, but I have kept myself from becoming physically poor for over thirty-four years. Let’s face it, if we are not watching what we spend our cash on most of the time, then we are watching what our wives or husbands are spending. Unless, of course, it does not seem to matter if there is so much cash it makes no difference what you buy. If we could be half as aware of our physical health as our finances, we would be on our way to become, physically fit and health conscious. Take the first step in the direction of moderation and practice it in all that you do.
Moderation is a common word with great significance. Imagine where we’d all be if we practice moderation in all that we think and do. We would not be overweight, as we would not be overeating, nor selecting the too fatty foods. We would not have two sets of clothes in our closets-one for the bigger and smaller me… We would have more energy and be able to move more and be less tired.
I look at moderation as being balanced. When we monitor our check books and keep them balanced, life is good and our creditors are happy. When we make sure we do our yearly exams with our doctors, our family is happy and we are in a better position to ward off any possible health maladies.
A case study in moderation and commitment
For a period of two years, I had a woman come and train with me who was physically broke! She was close to bankruptcy. At roughly 5 feet 6 inches tall, she weighed over 320 pounds. She could barely bend over to tie her shoes. She could barely breathe with any physical activity.
After her first year training with me, she lost 100 pounds. She worked on weights three times a week and she walked on the treadmill two to three days on her own as well. She developed vigor and energy and now smiles because of reaching a physically solvent point in her life.
She is at an all time high with her physical net worth, being up there with the best. This smart lady practices moderation in all parts of her life and has won the battle for physical independence. How did she do so well? Simple. It all started when she decided to train with me as her body banker (personal trainer) and took small but significant steps towards investing in her health and well being.
These have power over us when we allow it
Food is what we Money is anything make it we allow it to be
For most a necessity For most a necessity
Some a way of life Some it’s their life
To some an award For some it’s power
Many are addicted Many are addicted
Others find escape Others find freedom ____________________________________________________________________ What do you allow these to be? Can you change and take charge of your life? ____________________________________________________________________
See what a couple of people whom I’ve trained have to say…
The “Fitness King” changed my life forever by redefining the quality of life. Before I met Ron Henderson, my lifestyle was centered on Profit and Loss. I started a company from scratch in 2,000, and dedicated all my time and attention to “growing the business.” As such, words like, “Passion, Tenacity, Sacrifice, Drive, Health, Repetition, Performance, Execution, Benefits, Stamina and Balanced Results,” were all words that described my dedication to the success and expansion of my healthy business today.
These were, however, not the words I used to define the health of my body.
Now having worked for over a year with the “King,” I feel energized, rejuvenated and younger than I ever have before. And most of all, I understand the merits of maintaining a balanced life.
I live a more fit, productive, and fulfilled life today because of this shift in my priorities. Achieving a more balance life resulted in a greater ‘quality of life.’ This is a goal many strive to accomplish, but few actually realize in their lifetime. For this I have the Fitness King to thank. Your unbridled dedication to my life goals has not gone unnoticed. I look forward to the next 25 years of work and fitness. Thanks, “King,” Steve Wagenheim, President Granite City Food & Brewery
For All the years I’ve known Ron Henderson, I’ve known him as the “Fitness King,” and the title fits him well. Another title fits him well also and that is, Ron is a Big Brain. My name is David Stussy and I am an expert on the brain and wellbeing. I have a company called the Big Brain Enterprises. I have a weekly radio show on Air America Minnesota, the Big Brain Radio Show. On the Big Brain Radio show, there are universal laws that govern all activities surrounding the human existence and these laws give us the opportunity to create outstanding distinctions and results. Ron Henderson is truly a Big Brain.
My training professionally is as a Chiropractor. As I studied the brain more and more, I came to realize that the brain is much more than a clinical entity. It allows for the opportunity to have a perception of life by everything we sense around us as it comes into our brain. Everyone of u, in our lives have had Big Brain-people who make a difference in us by their ability to either give us a cultural insight, a unique concept or a unique way of looking at our professional and personal lives, and changed the way we do things forever. I started to make a list of these Bib Brains when I developed this concept. Ron Henderson was on the list. Most people evolve by reacting and fixing what goes wrong. The master evolves by anticipating and preempting the future and creating his or her own way of looking at things. Their involvement is faster and allows them to have the greatest number of optimal experiences.
Ron is one of those masters. The important thing in a relationship is to communicate your values in term of other’s values. Ron Henderson does that. He is aware of the individual approaches to physical fitness, muscular training and health as an adaptation to the environment, through coordination of the neurological systems to create action. Action means motion; motion needs muscle integrity of what we intend (sensory) to happen by healthy, voluntary and involuntary muscle tone. Many people who work with muscular exercise get into size, shape and form; Ron does not do that. He gets into experience and representation of the individual.
Remember, in order to have life, you need to have form and we receive information which then was the opportunity to be created in the transformation. He has always represented that attempt to transform our abilities through his unique way of looking at appropriate exercises as a part of the seven powers of life. Before it became popular, Ron took in the concepts of breathing and muscular tone along with the appropriate use of muscle and joint rehabilitation and their affect on the brain and the activities. Ron intuitively knew that most people need this to make their life work; first physically, then mentally, then spiritually and appropriately to the different areas of life. He knew that a healthy muscle system and activity and breathing patterns without exhausting the muscles or to allow a transformation for the spirit and the brain. This is form in the appropriate position.
Some of the most memorable experience with the “Fitness King,” besides showing me my breathing patterns and muscular repetitions and activities, are the contests to do push ups. We would see how many we could do in 30 minutes. I discovered that I had an extra-- ordinary ability to do push ups. Every so often he would spring it on us to see if we could do more. On fifty-second birthday, I did 2,600 pushups in 30 minutes. I hope it is still the record; I think it might be. It certainly gave me an appreciation from my internal abilities. Of course Ron-being the Big Brain he was-gave me a plaque with a picture of me and an appropriate notation of my accomplishment. I still have it on the wall today where it can amaze and entertain my friends.
Many people plateau when they reach a certain goal. When you have a cause that is big enough, you continue to expand yourself and create your experiences so you can continue to make a contribution to yourself, your family and the world at large. That certainly is my experience with Ron Henderson, Fitness King, a Big Brain Extraordinaire.
