by dr Margarethe de Clermont Is it possible to absolutely adore food and still look gorgeous and sexy and feel healthy and vitally alive?
IT MOST CERTAINLY IS!
The description above would fit about 75% of the French female population. We adore food in all its rich diversity. We love discussing and preparing new and ancient recipes. We love giving talked-about-for-weeks dinner parties. Nothing pleases us more than gathering our friends and family around a beautifully dressed table and then spoiling them with several courses of the most irresistible delicacies.
But we also pride ourselves on our neat and trim figures. We see our beauticians and hairdressers regularly. We incorporate exercise into our daily routine. We love exquisite lingerie and elegant, stylish, timeless clothes that compliment our figures. What’s more, we love fashion shows and dressing up.
So how do we do manage to look stunning AND worship food?
All the riveting details are in the The Papillon Weight Loss Program. Once you have discovered this collection of fascinating secrets, you will find out how to incorporate them easily into your thought patterns (self-hypnosis makes this daunting prospect an absolute breeze).
Never go on a torturing, never-ending, confidence-wrecking, malnourishment-inducing eating program ever again. A short, cleansing diet like the Parisian 3-day detox diet twice a year in autumn and spring is one thing: it does not harm your health and gives your body a well-deserved spring-clean. (or autumn clean!)
Contrary to short-term detox diets, long-term deprivation diets are bound to fail, by definition. Do make sure you actually need to lose weight, by plotting your weight and height on the BMI calculator on my website. You can also find out exactly how much you need to lose. Be realistic in your expectations. Aim for a pound or two a week. Concentrate instead on re-programming your mind with the self-hypnosis scripts in the Papillon Program, the weight will come off automatically. Always check with your own doctor before starting a weight loss campaign.
To succeed you need to make small, gradual changes in the way you think about food and eating. And patience, lots of it. In the meantime, get your mind off dieting and onto your LIFE! Discover your life’s purpose by writing a personal mission statement with the help of the Your Passion, Your Mission, Your Purpose e-course.
There is one more French Secret that most authors about the French eating philosophy neglect.
How do we remain motivated to stay slim and look after ourselves year after year after year, until we are deep into our dotage? For us beauty has no age. French men honour and adore women of all ages. One of our favourite actresses, Catherine Deneuve, is long past sixty, still she just becomes more beguiling and elegant with each passing year.
So how do we stay slim indefinitely?
That I’ll tell you straight-away. We have figured out that motivation is a bit like the gas you put into your car every couple of days. Driving around uses it up. It is much the same with motivation. Daily living needs a lot of focused attention and motivation. You need to stay motivated to go to work, to maintain friendships, to look after your family, to stay slim, eat healthily and look after yourself. When your motivation stores are depleted, you stop paying attention to the most dispensable part of the equation: YOU!
To avoid this regretful state of affairs, we pay constant attention to the gauge of our motivation tank. When we run low, we fill up with high-quality long-lasting pure motivation.
And where do we get our unfailing motivation from?
Well, we live in France. But there is a way that I can help you keep you motivation levels sky-high….with the monthly Gorgeous Gourmet Newsletter.
Once a month, I take great pleasure in writing and publishing this sinfully decadent tribute to food, glorious, gorgeous food. Superficially that is what the Gorgeous Gourmet is all about. But subliminally, it is choc-a-bloc with high doses of MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION. Thought patterns and opinions drilled into French children from the earliest age, I now share with you every month, in bite-sized portions.
Reading the Gorgeous Gourmet, you won’t notice much of that. What you will sit up and take note of is the mouth-watering recipes (mostly Mediterranean in origin), the stunning full-colour presentation, and the undiluted, undisguised celebration of food, eating and living that spills from this short but powerful newsletter.
Because that is what life is supposed to be about. It is way too short to waste another precious minute of it obsessing about starvation diets and maniacally strict weight control. Dare to celebrate life! Celebrate your mind AND your body, with reckless joie de vivre…starting this very minute.
