Can't or Won't

If there is one thing that I have learned in life is that people in general do not like change. There are any number of motivators that we could list here that would cause someone to make a change in their life. However, there is and never will be a motivator as powerful or more assured of getting change out of people as “pain”. As an example, I am sure that you know someone that simply does not like to go to the dentist. Over the years I have known any number of people that simply did not like going to the dentist for one reason or another and as such short of being threatened with death you would not find them in a dentist office.

The exception to that rule is a tooth ache that gradually increases in intensity to a point where the pain is no longer tolerable. At this point the pain of the tooth has surpassed their fear of walking into the dentist office. Think of your comfort zone as a box that you live in and outside that box you will find change. As I mentioned there are any number of things that will motivate a person to step outside that comfort zone and go through the change that waits outside of their comfort zone. Now, think about the one thing that will get people to move outside of their comfort zone when nothing else will. In many cases that motivator is some type of discomfort (pain) or fear of the pain that will be experienced without the change required to avoid it.

I see this all too often and it typically goes something like this. I’ve talked with a potential new customer that is having health issues of some type. We’ve discussed the challenges that they are having and feel confident that I have a product that will help them improve the quality of their life. Keep in mind that in many cases these products have been through double blind placebo human clinical trials with third party validation – the gold standard of testing. As such there is solid science proving that these products will work. The person in question has tried the product and during the follow up I discover one of the following:

- The product was not taken as recommended. - The product wasn’t taken at all. - The product was taken and there were positive results, but they are not going to continue with the product because________(you fill in the blank) - And the list goes on. All of these tell me there is nothing that I can do to help this person, which is very disheartening.

Mainly due to the fact that if they were willing to make a change at this point, further complications could be avoided down the road. As I have heard all of my life: You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Very often I end up talking to these same people down the road and the only thing that has changed is that the discomfort has reached a point that they are willing to make a change. Or, as I stated early the fear of the pending discomfort has reach a point as which they are now willing to try something to avoid the pending pain. For reasons that could fill a book the obstacles that they had during the initial interaction are no longer such an obstacle. The cost isn’t such a problem, the taste might not be so bad, or now remembering to take the product on a daily basis won’t be such a problem after all. A great, but sad example of this is someone that has an addiction. They will find a way to get a fix regardless of whether they can afford anything else. I known people on fixed incomes that struggled with the cost of their medications, groceries, etc, etc, but always had cigarettes on hand.

The sad part is that we all have a choice to make and often, so many people choose to make poor decisions or no decision at all – which is really the same as making a bad decision. There are mountains of research showing that with a consistent day to day wellness plan we can avoid much of the pain and discomfort that we put ourselves through. Worse yet, if we ignore our health long enough we end up talking to a doctor that writes a prescription that makes us feel better (or at least covers up one problem), but has not addressed the real problem. In more cases than not we are taking prescriptions that simply mask the under lying problem and as such we continue to do more damage to our bodies. To further complicate matters many of the prescriptions cause serious side effects and in millions of cases each year death. Great you no longer have the symptoms that you were suffering from, but now you are dead because of complications. Not a good trade off from my perspective.

So, if these prescriptions are not addressing the real problem, what is the real problem? Aging. In case you didn’t catch that the real problem is “AGING”. If we address this single problem many of the underlying symptoms go away. Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Cardiovascular Disease, High Blood Pressure, and this is just the start of the list. Fortunately there is a company that has the science and technology to address the single problem “Aging” and has come up with a line of products that have been verified through double blind placebo human clinical trials to address this problem of aging. Univera LifeSciences has a phenomenal product line that is ground in latest cutting edge Anti- Aging science. Their line of products AgelessXtra, Ageless Essentials, Ageless Prime, and RegeniCare, just to name a few are unparalleled in the nutritional supplements industry. For those that are curious about more details on these products I will be providing an in-depth review of these products and more, under our Product Review section, with references to any scientific research that is available.
