Visualization

Visualization is a very good way to help you reach your goal of losing weight. You need to see an image of yourself already reached your losing weight goal. It has to be in the present tense to be more effective. Picture yourself in your new image after losing weight.

The best way to do visualization is to write down a movie of yourself when your have already succeeded in losing weight. It could describe yourself in a present situation on the beach while your partner compliments your new image and figure. Your losing weight movie needs to be described in the present tense. Include as many sensory experiences as possible; this will make losing weight more effective.

Affirmations

The mind needs something to hook on to. It needs a new thought about losing weight, to focus on. It has been estimated that the mind thinks about 50,000 thoughts daily; most of them are the same as those from the previous day. When you give it a thought about losing weight, through a new affirmation it hooks on to that new thought. A good affirmation about losing weight could be, “I am happily enjoying wearing my new two piece swimsuit,” or “I easily and effortlessly lose weight, and it shows.” Whatever the mind accepts as fact, the body follows. The more times you repeat the new thought, the faster the mind accepts it. The mind and the body are intricately connected. It may take a while for the new weight loss idea to be fully integrated within your sub-conscious mind

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is like liberating yourself from a 100 pounds metal ball that has been attached to you, which you may have been carrying around for a long time. How would it feel to let go of a heavy metal ball? Would you feel lighter? Could you take on more projects? Letting go is the key for success in losing weight.

Make sure you forgive yourself first. You have probably tried a few things to lose weight, and failed. You may have spent a lot of money, but still failed. Forgive yourself. Then forgive those who embarrassed you. There may be people who belittled you; forgive them also. Forgive those who ridiculed you in the past for being fat. Do not carry around grudges against any people for not losing weight; let it go now. Lighten yourself. Letting go could be as easy as making up your mind and deciding to let go.

Exercise

Regular exercise will help you lose weight. It will flood your bloodstream with beneficial chemicals that will boost your energy level. Make sure you talk to your physician or health professional and follow their advice, before starting any exercise program. It is best to do exercise in the morning, because you may continue to lose weight during the day. Also to maximize weight loss, do weight bearing exercises first before doing aerobic type exercises For example, do 10 minutes of light weights, then 20 minutes of treadmill.

Food Eating a salad with every meal will help you lose weight. You will find yourself eating less food from your main meal. Also, drinking some water every time you feel hungry may help you take less food. Water is an important substance for losing weight. Make water your favorite beverage and enjoy it often. Here again it is important that you speak with your physician or health professional before starting any new diet program.
