Personal Deportment and Hygiene - Staying fit to be around as we age.

Bad breath, body odor, grumpiness, complaining, advancing deafness - many factors work against us socially as we age. Here we address overcoming and avoiding those negative aspects of aging that make us hard for others to be comfortable with. Some of this may get a bit on the gross side, but that is, after all, the problem - getting gross with age and losing our 'refinement' so people would rather avoid us. Family members are often the only folks that will tell us the truth in these matters, and the tendancy is to think that they are just being mean to us. It pays to listen to anyone willing to tell us the unpleasant truth, and then change whatever is needed.

As our lives and activities are no longer defined by our occupations and careers, life comes down to the relationships we foster and the people we are fortunate to live around. Gathered below is wisdom about what hinders or helps us to be a pleasure to share life with.
