( Nicene Creed) The Nicene Creed (pronounced /'na?si?n/) is an ecumenical Christian statement of faith accepted in the Eastern Orthodox Church, Assyrian Church of the East, Oriental Orthodox churches, the Roman Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church, the Anglican Communion, and almost all branches of Protestantism, including the Reformed churches, the Presbyterian Church, and the Methodist Church.

For the text of the Nicene Creed in English, see English versions of the Nicene Creed in current use.

There are several designations for the two forms of the Nicene creed, some with overlapping meanings

In musical settings, particularly when singing in Latin, this Creed is usually referred to by its first word, Credo.
