I recently finished "Mastering Leptin" and was impressed beyond my wildest imaginings with the multi-faceted technical understanding that Byron has put together over the years. This book is extremely important to understand for anyone seeking to optimize health and fitness. If I could only recommend one book out of my last 10 years of reading on the topic of nutrition, this would be it! I cannot overstate my enthusiasm for Byron's work - BUY THIS BOOK! I implemented the 5 Rules of Leptin about the last week of May/09, and by 7/24/09 I had dropped from an already lean 175 pounds down to 161. In the last month of that time, my strength has increased in the deadlift from a 1-rep max of 275 lb to 345 lb, so I can vouch for the fact that that 14 lb loss is largely visceral fat.
